Rocklin, Calif.- At their May Board Meeting the Sierra College Board of Trustees approved the hiring of Ryan Davis as the District’s new Vice President of Human Resources.

Ryan currently serves as the Assistant Superintendent of Personnel Services at Western Placer Unified School District. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree from UC Riverside and a Juris Doctor Degree from University of the Pacific, Mc George School of Law. Upon completion of law school he was admitted to the State Bar of California.

“Along with his impressive resume, Ryan comes highly recommended by those that work with him,” commented Willy Duncan, Superintendent/President of Sierra, “Also his strong background in Interest-Based Bargaining has benefited him in his current role and his collaborative style will continue to serve him at Sierra.” In 2014, Ryan was named Placer County Administrator of the Year for Human Resources from the Association of California School Administrators (ACSA). 

“I am very excited about joining the team at Sierra College,” Ryan stated, “Sierra College is an excellent educational institution with a tremendous reputation in the community and I feel very fortunate for the opportunity to work with an amazing staff and faculty and to play a part in assisting students with accomplishing their goals and dreams.”

Ryan officially begins his position at Sierra on July 1st. He lives in Placer County with his wife and son.
