Sun City Roseville Harmonicoots 2018 Jamboree on May 8

Roseville, CA-  This year, the Harmonicoots will honor all women harmonica players throughout the world at their Jamboree-scheduled for Thursday, May 8, 2018, at 7:00 p.m. in the SCR, ballroom-by bringing in Carolyn J. Dolan, a professional harmonica player and singer as their first-ever female Jamboree headliner. She specializes in blues, country, jazz and standards.

A Sacramento native, Carolyn now resides in Lake Tahoe and performs in the casinos there and in Reno. In 1995, she was named “Best Female Tahoe Singer.” She will be accompanied by Peter Supersano on keyboard, along with SCR residents Elmer Nemeth on string bass, and Bruce Turley on drums. Former Jamboree headliner, Tom Stryker, will make a guest appearance to play with Dolan.
Since the Jamboree’s theme is “It’s Showtime!,” the Coots will open with a variety of songs featured on Broadway and in movies such as “The Music of the Night” from the Phantom of the Opera, “New York,” “Chicago,” and “I Left My Heart in San Francisco.” They will also feature their women’s group along with a variety of solos.

Because of its immense popularity, the Jamboree event is sold out each year, so the public is urged to get their tickets now. Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased from any Coot member or by contacting Bud Gardner at 916-781-2830. The Timbers Lodge is located at 7050 Del Webb Blvd., Roseville, CA 95747.
