Roseville Police Swearing In

Ten New Roseville Police Employees to be Sworn In

Roseville Police Chief Joel Neves will officially welcome ten new employees at the department’s quarterly swearing-in and awards ceremony, to be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 25 at the Tower Theatre, 417 Vernon St.

The Roseville City Council has authorized the hiring of eleven new sworn officers and six professional staff employees since July 2005, continuing their strong support for public safety.

Police Officer Shannon McGrath joined the RPD on February 1. She came to Roseville after serving nearly 12 years as a deputy for the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Department.

Police Officer Jed O’Rourke, a CSUS graduate, started working for the RPD on April 6. He previously served for four years as an officer and crime scene investigator with the San Luis Obispo Police Department.

Police Officer Brent Northrup, another CSUS graduate, joined the RPD on April 6.  Officer Northrup came to Roseville after ten years with the Santa Cruz Police Department.

Police Officer Randy Fasani left the Visalia Police Department to join the  RPD on April 6. Fasani graduated from Stanford University, and is a former quarterback for the Carolina Panthers.

Records Clerk Stephanie Decker became a permanent RPD employee on March 7, after working for the RPD as a temporary employee for two years. Decker has a degree in Criminal Justice from CSUS.

Parking Enforcement Officer Kelly Barcus joined the RPD on March 7. Ms. Barcus has many years of experience in the health care field.

Dispatcher Natalie Carrera joined the RPD on March 14. She worked as a dispatcher for the Sacramento Police Department for four years, and also currently serves as a volunteer Emergency Medical Technician in El Dorado County.

Daniel Stratton joined the RPD as a Police Cadet on April 13. Stratton was a member of the Roseville Police Department’s high-school Explorer Scout Troop for the past three years.

Terrissa “Terri” Powell joins the RPD on April 20 as a part-time program coordinator for the Roseville Police Activities League (RPAL). Ms. Powell has a degree in social work from CSUS, and also is the local program manager for the Parent Project, a parenting skills course for parents of “challenging” adolescents.

U.S. Air Force veteran Ryan Albano will start working for the RPD as a dispatcher on April 22. Albano served in Baghdad, Iraq in 2005, and since his return home has served at Beale AFB as a disaster preparedness journeyman.
