Tuesday night, Roseville Police investigators arrested Ryan Paul Junaid, 23, of Roseville on suspicion of cruelty to animals. Junaid is suspected of torturing and killing a number of guinea pigs.
Roseville Police detectives conducted surveillance in the Secret Ravine Parkway area, where several dead guinea pigs had been discarded. They arrested Junaid at approximately 11:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 9. Detectives also rescued an injured guinea pig, which received veterinary care and is recovering. Junaid was booked into the Roseville Police Department Jail and released on a $10,000 bail bond. He is scheduled to be arraigned in court at 8:30 a.m. on January 6.
