Summer heatwave settles in for extended stay
Roseville, Calif. – Roseville is no stranger to summer heatwaves as local residents settle in for another summer scorcher with temps topping 110 degrees this week. While many resident flee to cooler locales to escape the summer heat, those in town head to air conditioned spaces and water-based recreation.
The City of Roseville has multiple locations throughout the city for community members to find respite from this period of extended heat. One of these locations is our downtown Library, which will have extended hours for the upcoming week.
It is important for residents to keep a close eye on individuals at higher risk of heat-related illnesses, recognize the signs of heat exhaustion and heat stroke, and know when to seek assistance. Don’t forget to look out for your neighbors and the elderly, who are more susceptible to heat-related illnesses.
