At 3:17 p.m. on Monday, July 23, the Placer County Sheriff's Department responded to the Nortech Waste Facility at 3033 Fiddyment Road. A worker at the facility was sorting trash for recyclable items, and discovered the body of a newborn infant, with its umbilical cord still attached.

Roseville grass fire suspect jailed on $250,000 bond

Joshua David Brown, 22, of Roseville, was arrested at about 6 p.m. on Saturday, July 7, on suspicion of starting a grass fire in the open space area next to Woodcreek High School. He is being held in the Placer County Jail on $250,000 bail, and was scheduled for arraignment.
