Simple Workaround Untethers Instagram Users

Roseville, CA- We’re very late to the party, but have finally jumped onto the Instagram bandwagon. However, we quickly found that anything other than some basic image editing, required more than a small phone screen. Transferring images between devices for editing and posting is more time consuming than we’re willing to accept. So, why not post right from our desktop? Well, after logging into Instagram it appears that’s not possible. Thankfully, there’s a simple solution.

How to Post to Instagram from Computer

1- Log Into Your Instagram Account via Chrome

2- In the empty white space on the page, Right Click

3- Select “Inspect”

4- A new code pane will appear on the right side on your page

5- At the top of the pane, you’ll now have the ability to change your “user agent” using the little phone icon
(All this means is that your browswer now tells Instagram you’re using a phone, voila!)

6- On your Instagram page you should now see the “plus” icon to add a photo.
(if you don’t see the icon, refresh the page)

7- Proceed as normal and you no longer are required to only use your phone when posting your snaps to Instagram!
