On August 20, Janis Elizabeth Del Pozzo, 50, of Roseville died at Sutter Roseville Medical Center from injuries suffered in an August 9 traffic collision.

At 10:42 a.m.  on August 9, the Roseville Police and Fire Departments responded to a collision in the intersection of Pleasant Grove Boulevard and Washington Boulevard.  A green 2000 Ford F150 pickup traveling northbound on Washington Boulevard struck broadside a black 2009 Cadillac CTS sedan that was traveling westbound on Pleasant Grove Boulevard.

Ms. Del Pozzo, the driver of the Cadillac, was transported by ambulance to Sutter Roseville Medical Center. The pickup driver, a 51-year-old Lincoln man, and his two juvenile passengers were also transported by ambulance to Sutter Roseville Medical Center, treated and released.  His name is not being released because of the ongoing investigation.

Although routine toxicology tests were administered, there were no obvious signs that alcohol or other drugs were a factor in the collision.  The collision is still under investigation by the Roseville Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team.
