The City of Roseville’s Environmental Utilities Department was awarded Wastewater Treatment Plant of the Year for its Pleasant Grove Wastewater Treatment Plant by the California Water Environment Association (CWEA).
The treatment plant, in operation since 2004, is noted for its technological advancements, proactive maintenance and a stellar compliance record. The award was given in the mid-size category (5 to 25 million gallons per day).
CWEA also awarded Wastewater Collection Superintendent Mark Cossairt ‘Supervisor of the Year’ for his work in maintaining Roseville’s wastewater system infrastructure. Cossairt’s acheivements include his development of a Sanitary Sewer Master Plan, and development of a wastewater pipe inspection program that utilized robotic cameras to inspect underground pipes.
