Roseville, Calif. -During the summer months, when air quality is at its worst, Roseville Transit provides free Local and Commuter bus service when a Spare the Air day is predicted (not valid on Dial-A-Ride). This helps the region reduce the amount of vehicles on the road that create air polluting emissions. Free transit trips are made possible by a Clean Air Grant from the Placer County Air Pollution Control District.

To get trip planning assistance, call Roseville Transit at (916) 774-5757, or visit www.roseville.ca.us/transit.

A Spare the Air day is announced when the region is predicted to have an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 150 or higher.

To receive Spare the Air predictions, sign up for Air Alert – a free service that notifies you via e-mail or text message when air quality in the Sacramento region is forecast to be unhealthy. It’s easy to enroll and you can stop the service at any time.
