Roseville, Calif.- As part of its annual Grants Advisory Commission awards ceremony, the City of Roseville will award $614,162 to approximately 35 local nonprofit organizations.

Funds for the grants come from the Citizens Benefit Fund (interest on the proceeds from the 1993 sale of Roseville Hospital), Roseville Automall Community Fund, and the Roseville Employees Annual Charitable Hearts Fund (employee giving campaign) to help local organizations extend a range of quality of life services to citizens of all ages.

Checks will be awarded at the beginning of the City Council meeting. Since its inception in 1993 with the sale of the Roseville Hospital, the Grants Advisory Commission, with its Citizens Benefit Fund, has partnered with the Automall and city employees to create three fund-raising sources that have donated $12.4 million to these organizations, many of whom assist at-risk residents.
