Roseville, Calif. – Roseville and Placer County continue to collect accolades when it comes to best places to live and do business.

Placer County already ranked among the healthiest with the best quality of life in all of the Golden State,ย they now haveย has something else to crow about. Inย  a recent Niche study, the City of Roseville ranked #21 in the list for 25 of the Safest Cities across America.

A city of over 126,000, Roseville is considered a midsize city with an affluent and highly educated population. Factor in warm, sunny weather, a centralized location with easy access to points to all the recreational hotspots in Northern and Central California, and you have an ideal location for business and family. Roseville is also a major regional shopping destination and is among the local cities positioning itself for a burgeoning sports tourism industry.

With all the positive news, the area’s growth shows no signs of slowing down. Housing developments are continuing at a rapid pace. Projected future population numbers for the Roseville, Rocklin and Lincoln area are expected to skyrocket to over 400,000 people.

Big Challenges: Air Pollution & Traffic Congestion

Many agree that the biggest visible challenges facing the region are pollution and traffic congestion.

The American Lung Association regularly gives South Placer a grade of “F” in Quality of Air Reports. It ranks among the worst in the country.  It’s hot climate and valley location amplify factors that go beyond local controls.

Traffic has become a big headache for many. Gridlock often resembles the Bay Area where many local residents have fled from over the years. It is perhaps the #1 complaint we hear from residents. Don’t expect relief anytime soon as housing rapidly outpaces road capacity. Avoiding Highway 65 is usually a good bet. Surface streets aren’t much better, but they are usually moving at a reasonable pace.

Challenges that come with growth and success are inevitable. Most residents overlook them as the benefits of living in a family friendly, economically vibrant, conveniently located and safe city far outweigh those inconvenient challenges.

Roseville is aย incredible city in Californiaย in which to live and do business.
