Roseville, Calif.- Sutter Health’s announcement yesterday that it chose Roseville for its administrative services headquarters after a competitive location search is a huge boost for the City and for the region.
“We’re thrilled. This brings new jobs, new revenues, and provides opportunities for other businesses and industry sectors, like retail and construction, to experience new growth as well, ” said Roseville City Manager Ray Kerridge. “Our staff worked closely with SACTO, the brokers, and Quality Investment Properties, which bought the building last year, to help put together a deal that allows Sutter to continue its strong investment in the region.”
“This is the kind of result our city was seeking with the ‘Open for Business’ vision as we work with our community to grow our economy,” Kerridge added.
Those involved in the process commented that the expertise and enthusiasm of the City’s team left a significant positive impression. Roseville’s quality of life, utility rates, and the cost of doing business were other factors highlighted.
“Sutter’s investment means our community will be gaining many new residents, and we extend the warmest of welcomes to them and their families,” said Roseville Mayor Pauline Roccucci. “We hope that they will treasure the quality of life, schools, parks, safety, shopping, restaurants, cultural amenities, and of course health care, that make Roseville an incredible place to call home.”
Scheduled to open in early 2013, the center will be located in a nearly 300,000-square-foot office building at 9100 Foothills Blvd., near Highway 65 and Blue Oaks Boulevard in west Roseville. Tenant improvements will begin immediately and the first group of 200 to 300 employees will move into the facility in the first quarter of 2013. Additional employees will follow, in phases. Sutter Health’s lease includes an option to expand the Roseville site to accommodate additional employees, if necessary in the future.
The building was constructed by HP as part of its Roseville campus, and was vacant for many years before it was sold last year. This announcement singlehandedly reduces Roseville’s office vacancy rate by 20 percent, from 25 percent to 20 percent.
