On May 5, Allan Dahlquist, 64, of Citrus Heights died at Sutter Roseville Medical Center as a result of injuries suffered in an April 26 motorcycle collision.

At approximately 4:30 p.m. on April 26, Dahlquist was riding his 2005 Harley Davidson motorcycle north on Riverside Avenue near the Interstate 80 interchange, and rear-ended a Toyota Highlander that was stopped at a red light. Dahlquist was thrown from his motorcycle and suffered head injuries. He was transported by ambulance to Sutter Roseville Medical Center, where he died nine days later.

Traffic investigators do not believe that alcohol, drugs or excessive speed were factors in the collision. Mr. Dahlquist was wearing a helmet at the time of the collision.

The collision is being investigated by the Roseville Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team.
