Roseville Police Department officers arrested two males early this morning on suspicion of breaking the trunks of several trees recently planted along Lincoln Street in Roseville’s Historic District.
At 1:44 a.m. Tuesday, October 7, Roseville officers responded to a report of someone screaming in the area of Lincoln Street and Pleasant Street, and trees being knocked down. Officers arrived in the area a few minutes later and detained two males who were running from the area. Officers found seven young trees along Lincoln Street with their trunks snapped off.
Chad Phillip Westbrook, 20, and Michael Scott Hardin, 23, both of Roseville, were arrested on suspicion of felony vandalism (causing more than $400 in damages), and conspiracy. They are being held in the Placer County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail each.
