Jailed on $1 Million Bail

Roseville, Calif.- On June 26, Roseville Police detectives arrested Michael Scott Nodine, age 45, of Roseville on suspicion of sexually abusing a minor child over a period of more than ten years.

Since his arrest Nodine has been charged with two additional offenses related to the sexual abuse of minor children.ย  He’s being held in the Placer County Jail in lieu of $1 million bail.

Detectives are continuing to investigate Nodine’s activities and contacts with children, and now believe he may have molested other children.ย  Potential victims may include boys or girls ranging in age from five to the mid-teens.ย ย  Nodine has lived in both Rocklin and Roseville over the past several years when the alleged abuse occurred, and worked in Folsom.

His job doesn’t involve working with children, but detectives believe that Nodine contacted his alleged victims through family or social relationships.ย He also plays video games, and may have contacted children through Internet-based video gaming groups.

Detectives are concerned there may be additional victims, and if so, are hoping that they will come forward and contact Roseville Police.ย  If anyone has any information that would help in this continuing investigation, please call the Roseville Police Department’s Investigation Unit at (916)774-5070.
