David Grainger of Roseville, Calif., led his six-member team to win the 10K Swiss Teams event at the Spring North American Bridge Championship (NABC), one of 14 championship-level events held in Dallas from March 20 to 30.

The Grainger Squad included Tom Breed of Kingwood, Texas, Janet Macchi of Statham, Ga., Ira Chorush of Houston, Texas, Roger Lee of Arcadia, Calif., and Daniel Korbel of Ontario, Canada. After entering the contest in seventh place, Grainger’s squad finished with 124 points to the second-place team’s 123.75.

The NABCs are held three times a year across the U.S. and Canada to bring together players of all skill levels, from beginner to advanced, with opportunities for everyone to play daily. The 2014 summer and fall NABCs will be held in Las Vegas from July 17 to 27, and in Providence, R.I., from Nov. 27 to Dec. 7.
