Early yesterday morning (Sunday, August 30), Roseville Police officers arrested the primary suspect in a robbery that occurred at a house party in west Roseville the previous morning.
Brent Leo Alan Mason, age 19 of Roseville, was arrested without incident at an apartment complex in Rocklin. He was booked into the Placer County Jail on suspicion of robbery, conspiracy, brandishing a firearm and violation of probation, and is being held in lieu of $75,000 bail.
At 1:35 Saturday morning, August 29, Roseville officers responded to a report of a robbery at a house party in the 1800 block of Avenida Martina. Officers found that a group of young adults (ages 18-19) were having a party while the resident’s parents were away, when a group of five to seven uninvited men arrived at the party. Several fights broke out, and one of the uninvited guests, now identified as Brent Mason, brandished a handgun. The group of uninvited guests robbed some of the other guests of cell phones and other personal property, and then left in a dark-colored older lowered sedan. One person was taken to the emergency room for apparently minor injuries from a scuffle. Roseville patrol officers immediately began an investigation which led to the arrest of Brent Mason the following morning.
The investigation is continuing to identify and arrest the other suspects that participated in the robbery. Anyone with information about the other involved parties is asked to email Detective Marks at dmarks@Roseville.ca.us.
