The Roseville Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying a man who robbed a liquor store and pepper-sprayed the clerk.
At about 11 p.m. last night (Tuesday, January 27) a man went into a liquor store in the 5100 block of Foothills Boulevard, threatened the clerk with a handgun and demanded money. After taking money from the cash register and the clerk’s personal property, the robber pushed the clerk to the ground and pepper-sprayed him in the face. He then left the store and walked northbound toward McAnally Drive. Paramedics treated the clerk at the scene for his exposure to pepper spray, but he declined further medical attention.
The robber was a male wearing a black puffy jacket over a bright blue hooded sweatshirt, khaki pants and white sneakers. He had his hood pulled all the way up, and wore a ski mask concealing his face. He spoke with an accent and might be Hispanic, but that isn’t confirmed.
Anyone with any information that could help solve this crime is asked to call Roseville Crime Stoppers at (916)783-7867.
