Roseville, Calif.- At 5:20 a.m. this morning (Wednesday, February 25), a woman was attacked as she ran on the walking/biking trail near Summerhill Park, in the Highland Reserve area between Washington Boulevard and State Route 65.
An unidentified male came up behind her and knocked her down. She fought him off, and he ran away in a northerly direction toward Washington Boulevard. Officers searched the area with the help of a Sacramento Sheriff’s K9 and later a CHP helicopter, but were unable to locate the man at this time. The investigation is continuing.
The attacker was described as a white or Hispanic male, 5’11” tall with a medium build, wearing black clothing, including a black hoodie. No weapons were seen.
