Roseville Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying suspects who robbed a jewelry shop at gunpoint this afternoon. Four employees were tied up and one was pistol-whipped during the robbery.
At 12:34 p.m. on Monday, July 2, Roseville Police responded to a reported robbery at Joyeria y Novedades Espinoza, 1000 Melody Lane. Employees reported that at about 12:15 p.m., three men entered the store, tied them up, and robbed them at gunpoint. One of the employees tried to resist the robbers, and was pistol-whipped. That victim was treated by paramedics at the scene and did not require ambulance transport.
The robbers were described as Hispanic males between the ages of 25 and 35. One wore a black and white baseball-style t-shirt and blue jeans, and was armed with a handgun; one wore a dark-colored, striped polo shirt and blue jeans; and one wore a white T-shirt. All spoke Spanish.
After taking cash and numerous items of jewelry, the suspects fled the area in a waiting white sedan, similar to a Ford Taurus. The sedan was driven by a fourth suspect.
