Roseville,Calif.- At 9:11 am this morning, units from the Roseville Fire Department were dispatched to a reported residential structure fire located on Circuit Drive in the city of Roseville.ย

Fire units arrived on scene within four minutes to find a residential duplex with light smoke showing from the roof vents.  Fire crews quickly entered the home to first verify that all occupants had safely evacuated from the home and then searched for the location of the fire.  This search discovered a small fire in the attic.  Fire crews quickly extinguished the fire while taking measures to protect the property of the occupants.  Incident Commander Kathy Finney praised the efforts of the firefighters.

Chief Finney stated that ‘Our first concern in a fire situation is life safety.  We then move to property conservation for both the affected as well as adjacent structures.’  One person was home at the time of the fire but was evacuated by neighbors prior to the fire department’s arrival.

A total of four fire engines, one truck, one stand-by ambulance and support personnel totaling 22 personnel arrived on scene.

Damage to the home is estimated at less than $10,000.  No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
