Both vehicles collided head-on. All 3 people in the Buick were killed upon impact.

Caudillo survived the collision and was transported to Mercy San Juan for his injuries.

It is suspected that alcohol and/or drugs was a factor in this collision; however, it is still under investigation. Both Caudillo and all 3 occupants of the Buick were wearing their seatbelts. Identification on all 3 occupants of the Buick is pending coroner notification of family and/or next of kin.
