6th Annual Roseville Crime Stoppers 4th of July 5k Fun Run/Walk
(Roseville) Crime Stoppers 4th of July 5 K Fun Run/Walk is once again set to take place through downtown Roseville.
Royer Park will be the start and finish of the run/walk and features many running divisions and age groups. Funds raised will be used to help the Roseville Crime Stoppers and other local organizations and charities.
Some 200-plus runners/walkers participate each year. Registration begins at 7 a.m. The race begins at 8 a.m. Awards are presented at 9:30. The event is followed by the annual Forth of July Parade along Vernon Street and family activities in the park.
The Fun Run includes music on the course, an appearance by the Sheriff’s helicopter, a Roseville Fire Department engine display, refreshments for participants, and awards to the top competitors. Serious runners from throughout the Sacramento-Placer County area participate in the event as a tune-up for subsequent events. Families with children and recreational runners and walkers also participate in what has come to be known as a “”fun”” outing to begin the Fourth of July celebration.
Awards are presented in male and female 10-year age divisions, and three kids’ divisions. The adult entry fee before June 30 is $20. Entry fees on race day are $25 for adults, children 17 and under, $15.

In collaboration with the Hispanic Empowerment Association of Roseville (HEAR), the Roseville Coalition of Neighborhood Associations (RCONA), and Roseville Firefighters Association, Roseville Crime Stoppers is sponsoring the 4th Annual Fun Run/Walk on the 4th of July. An awards ceremony follows the run/walk.
