Police Beat 1 Northeast Roseville
Olympus Pointe, delivered package disturbed: Sometime between 11 a.m. August 22 and 9:15 a.m. August 23, someone took a delivered package containing financial paperwork from the front of a house in the 2500 block of DuBois Drive, looked through the paperwork and threw the box of papers into the bushes next to the house. Nothing appeared to have been taken.
East Roseville Parkway and Lead Hill, vehicle burglaries: Between 9:15 p.m. August 27 and 1 a.m. August 28, someone smashed the windows of at least three vehicles in a movie theater parking lot on North Sunrise Ave., a vehicle at a fitness center on North Sunrise, and two vehicles in a bar parking lot on Eureka Rd., and rummaged through the vehicles. Two of the victims had removed all valuable property from their vehicles, so their losses were limited to the damages to their vehicles. The other victims had left very expensive purses, wallets, cash, ID and credit cards, iPods and other valuables in their unattended cars, and those items were stolen.
Galleria area, trailer burglarized: Sometime during the night of August 22/23, someone went into a storage facility in the 800 block of Galleria Blvd., broke the window to a trailer and stole a bicycle. The suspect(s) may have entered through a broken fence between the storage trailer and the cemetary.
Galleria area and Cresthaven neighborhood, shoplifting and search for a fleeing suspect: At 3:50 p.m. August 23, a loss-prevention officer from a store in the Galleria tried to stop two suspected shoplifters. They broke free and fled with stolen merchandise in a black sedan. A responding officer spotted the suspect vehicle on Eureka Road and stopped it. The suspected shoplifter stopped, then drove away at a high rate of speed across town, colliding with another vehicle on Riverside Avenue at I-80. Bystanders detained the passenger until officers arrived, but the driver fled on foot. Officers conducted an extensive foot search of the area, the creekbeds and the Cresthaven Park area, but were unable to locate the fleeing suspect, described as a black male in his 20s with shoulder-length hair in cornrows and a light mustache. The passenger, a 21-year-old man from Sacramento, was arrested on suspicion of burglary (shoplifting) and conspiracy. The investigation is continuing to identify and file charges against the other suspect.

Vehicle burglaries, Lead Hill area: See note under Beat 1, East Roseville Parkway.
Cirby Ranch, commercial burglary: Between 6 p.m. August 21 and 9:10 a.m. August 22, someone forced entry through the back door of a camera shop in the 1000 block of Sunrise Avenue and took cameras and camera equipment.
Meadow Oaks, residential burglary: Between 8 a.m. and 3:15 p.m. August 23, someone pried the back door of a home in the 800 block of Trimble Way while the resident was out, and took a TV, video game console and laptop computers.
Sierra Gardens, theft: Overnight on August 19/20, someone stole solar lights from a front patio in the 1700 block of Quail Circle.
Police Beat 3 Central Roseville, south of the tracks
Cresthaven, attempted commercial burglary: At 3:45 a.m. August 22, someone broke windows in a convenience store in the 100 block of Cirby Way in an apparent burglary attempt. The suspect didn’t get into the business. In surveillance video, he appears to be a white male adult in his late 20s or 30s, heavyset with a protruding belly. He was wearing a light colored baseball cap, light-colored t-shirt and knee-length blue denim shorts, and had a backpack.
Downtown, fuel theft: Overnight August 21/22, diesel fuel was stolen from two trucks parked in the 600 block of Vernon Street. Cherry Glen, probation arrests: On the morning of August 28, officers conducted a probation search of a home in the 400 block of Bonita Street. Two adult males were arrested for drug charges and other related charges.
Folsom Road, catalytic converter thefts: Between August 23 and 26, someone stole the catalytic converter from a Toyota Tacoma pickup parked in the 200 block of Sharp Circle. Overnight August 22/23, someone stole the catalytic converter from a Toyota Sequoia SUV parked in the 200 block of Sharon Way. Between August 25 and 26, someone stole a catalytic converter from a Toyota 4Runner in the 300 block of Margaret Way.
Police Beat 4 Central Roseville, north of the tracks
Sierra Vista, residential burglary:between August 16 and 20, someone pried open the bathroom window of an apartment in the 500 block of Shasta Street while the resident was away, and took cash and a DVD player.
Roseville Heights, residential burglary: Between 6 p.m. August 16 and 9 a.m. August 21, someone went into an apartment in the 100 block of Pacific Street and took household items, a jar of coins and stereo equipment.
Los Cerritos, vehicle burglary: Between 4 and 8 a.m. August 23, someone got into a locked car in the 700 block of Vallejo by unknown means, and stole the stereo faceplate.
Vineyard, car vandalized: At about 10:12 p.m. August 17, someone broke a window of a car parked on Rozan Court.
Police Beat 5 North Central Roseville
Foothills-Junction, motorcycle theft: Between 3:50 and 8:20 a.m. August 23, someone cut a chain securing a blue 2002 Yamaha motorcycle in an apartment complex parking lot on Marcia Way, and stole the motorcycle.
Foothills-Junction, landscaper’s trailer burglarized: Between 6:30 and 10:40 a.m. August 15, someone cut the lock of a landscaper’s cargo trailer parked in the 4000 block of Foothills Blvd. and took two lawnmowers and two power trimmers.
Foothills-Junction, attempted gasoline theft: Overnight August 22/23, somone opened the fuel door and unscrewed the fuel cap of a car parked in the 1600 block of Revere Drive. No gasoline was missing, so the thief may have been interrupted or scared off.
Pleasant Grove, residential burglary: Overnight on August 10/11, someone climbed through a dining room window of a home in the 1400 block of Southwood Way while the residents were sleeping, and stole a purse from the dining room table. The victim’s credit card was later used in Sacramento County.
Highland Reserve, catalytic converter theft: Between August 7 and 11, someone stole the catalytic converter from a Mitsubishi Montero SUV parked in the 300 block of Brennen Circle.
Highland Reserve, stolen property recovered, arrests made: At 2:27 a.m. August 23, a Roseville police officer was patrolling residential streets in the Highland Reserve area when she noticed a car cruising around the area of Brookhaven Drive, Gold Coast Drive and Caldarella Circle. The officer followed and stopped the car on Pleasant Grove Blvd. She learned that both the driver and passenger were from Yuba City, and that one of them was on probation. Officers searched the suspects’ car and found methamphetamine smoking paraphernalia, as well as checks, identification and other items that had been stolen during vehicle burglaries in Oroville and Yuba City. Some of the victim’s checks had already been fraudulently passed in stores. A 29-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman, both from Yuba City, were arrested on suspicion of possessing stolen property and drug paraphernalia, forgery and other related charges.
Highland Reserve, garage burglarized: Between 6 and 8:30 p.m. August 26, someone went into an open garage on Raleigh Court and stole a Playstation console.
Highland Reserve, vehicle burglary: At 4 a.m. August 27, a resident on Silver Poplar Court heard a car alarm sound. He went outside and checked his vehicles, which seemed secure. Later in the morning the residents discovered that a laptop computer had been stolen from the floorboard of one of their vehicles.
Stanford, vehicle burglary: between 9:30 p.m. August 19 and 3 p.m. August 20, someone went into a locked vehicle parked in the 8300 block of Roseto Road by unknown means and stole an XBox game console with games and accessories, and a laptop computer.
Stanford, vehicle burglary: Between 3:30 and 4:15 p.m. August 21, someone got into a locked vehicle parked in a store parking lot in the 10000 block of Fairway Drive by unknown means, and stole a canvas bag containing cash, check books, a cell phone and other items.
Stanford, vehicle burglary: Between 1 and 5:20 p.m. August 22, someone forced the lock of a car parked in a store parking lot in the 10000 block of Fairway Drive, and took a golf bag containing golf clubs and other golf equipment, and sunglasses.
Industrial, commercial burglary: At 10:48 p.m. August 23, officers responded to an alarm at an equipment rental business in the 10000 block of Industrial Avenue, and found that someone had broken a window and burglarized the business. Generators and electric breakers (demolition power tools) were taken.
Police Beat 6 West Roseville
Woodcreek Oaks, theft: Between 1 and 9:30 a.m. August 18, someone went into an unlocked pickup parked on Ryland Court and stole sunglasses, loose change and other small items.
Woodcreek Oaks, theft: On the evening of August 24, a young adult invited several friends over to a home in the Woodcreek Oaks area while the parents were out of town. The party grew in size to an estimated 60 people, including several people whom the teenage host didn’t know. Police were called to the house to quell a noise disturbance. Later it was discovered that a cellphone and laptop computer had been stolen from the house during the party.
Sun City, stolen vehicle recovered, arrest made: At 12:51 a.m. August 23, an officer noticed a Honda sedan traveling north on Fiddyment Road near Blue Oaks Blvd. with stolen license plates. Officers stopped the car on Athens Avenue. They confirmed the car had a punched ignition and had been stolen from Carmichael in late July. Officers found shaved vehicle keys and other burglar’s tools in the car. The driver, a 22-year-old woman from Carmichael, was arrested on suspicion of vehicle theft, possession of stolen property and burglar’s tools.
Quail Glen, bike theft: Sometime before the afternoon of August 27, someone stole a metallic yellow Advico BMX-style bicycle from an apartment complex in the 1500 block of Pleasant Grove Blvd. Pleasant Grove, parole/probation activity: On the afternoon of August 28, officers conducted a probation search of a house on Joshua Court and found illegal drugs and paraphernalia. Three adults were arrested on drug charges and other related charges.
Blue Oaks, theft: Between 11 and 11:15 a.m. August 23, someone stole lawn maintenance power tools from the back of a landscaper’s truck parked at Woodcreek Oaks Blvd. at Parkside.
Fiddyment Farms, catalytic converter thefts: Overnight August 26/27, someone stole the catalytic converter from a Toyota Sequoia parked in a driveway in the 2500 block of Summerland Way, and from a Toyota Sequoia parked in the driveway of a home in the 2600 block of Pipestone Loop.
