Roseville, Calif.- At about 10 a.m. November 9, officers responded to a report of two men acting suspiciously near Pleasant Grove Boulevard and Roseville Parkway.

Witnesses reported them going door to door, trying doors and acting like they were “casing” houses. An officer stopped the suspect vehicle, a black BMW, in the nearby Safeway parking lot, and detained one of the occupants.

The other suspect ran away into a residential neighborhood. Officers surrounded the area and, having received information that the other suspect was armed, notified two area schools to go on lockdown. After about an hour of searching with help from the Rocklin Police Department, a Roseville Police K9 unit found the second suspect near Castle Hill Court. He was detained without further incident.

Officers found that a home in the 500 block of Sutherland Ranch Lane had been broken into. Two handguns and jewelry that had been taken from the house were recovered.

A 20-year-old male from Sacramento was arrested on suspicion of burglary and conspiracy, and a 21-year-old male from Sacramento was arrested on suspicion of burglary, conspiracy, being a felon in possession of a firearm, and violation of parole.
