Roseville Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) is investigating a serious injury collision that sent two pedestrians to the hospital.
At approximately 12:17 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, a 59-year-old male pedestrian was crossing Harding Boulevard just north of Estates Drive, carrying his two-year-old granddaughter. They were struck by a southbound 2003 Lincoln four-door sedan. The driver, a 65-year-old woman from Granite Bay, was not injured and stopped immediately after the collision.
Both of the pedestrians were taken by ambulance to Sutter Roseville Medical Center, where the adult male is currently listed in critical condition. Because of confidentiality laws, hospital officials were not able to release information on the condition of the child.
Harding Boulevard was closed for approximately four and a half hours while traffic investigators examined the scene. The roadway is now open.
