At 3:12 p.m. on Tuesday, May 12, Roseville police officers and fire personnel responded to a collision involving a pedestrian on Vernon Street near Taylor Street. A 65-year-old Citrus Heights man was backing his 1941 Chevrolet pickup into a parking space for Downtown Tuesday Nights’ classic car show,  when the pickup went over the curb onto the sidewalk.  The pickup struck the driver’s friend, a 67-year-old Orangevale man, who was sitting on a folding chair on the sidewalk.

The Orangevale man was transported by ambulance to Sutter Roseville Medical Center, where he is currently listed in critical condition. There were no indications that alcohol was a factor in the collision. The Roseville Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team is investigating.
