Robin Trimble, CEO of the Rocklin Area Chamber of Commerce, has been named chairperson of the Board of Directors of Placer Valley Tourism.  In her voluntary position, Trimble will lead a 15-member board as it supports tourism for the three cities of Rocklin, Roseville and Lincoln.

Trimble, in her third year heading the Rocklin Chamber,  presides over monthly board meetings for the tourism group.  She is active in community events beyond the scope of her professional position.  She has given her time to numerous community organizations, including the United Way, the Community Services Planning Council, Homeward Bound Golden Retriever Rescue and William Jessup University.  She established the Margaret Schonbeck Memorial Scholarship at Rocklin High School. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Placer SPCA.

Greg Van Dusen, CEO of Placer Valley Tourism since Sept. 15, is happy to have Trimble in the leadership role. “She is so full of energy and is such a caring person about our local environment,” says Van Dusen.  “She supports our goals and her enthusiasm is contagious.”

Three new members of the tourism board are Keith Burcham, representing Strikes Family Entertainment Center in Rocklin; David Huber, general manager of the Residence Inn by Marriott in Roseville; and Vruti Ranchhod, director of sales for the new Holiday Inn Express in Lincoln.

Placer Valley Tourism was incorporated by the city of Roseville in 2003 as a Business Improvement Improvement District (BID).
