Ronald Allen Lawrence appointed to post

Rocklin, Calif.- The City of Rocklin is pleased to announce the appointment of Ronald Allen Lawrence as Rocklin’s next Police Chief effective April 1, 2011.

Lawrence began his career in law enforcement in March of 1990 having served the citizens of Rocklin since June 2006 when he assumed the role of Division Commander, Rank of Captain. Lawrence brings to Rocklin a record of exceptional service, experience and education having served in multiple departments within California. Lawrence holds a Master of Arts degree in Leadership from Saint Mary’s College in California and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from Union Institute and University.

A F.B.I. National Academy graduate, Lawrence has demonstrated personal accountability, high ethical standards and sound leadership principles and is well prepared to not only lead the Rocklin Police Department now and into the future, but will be a contributing member of the Rocklin Senior Management Team.

Lawrence succeeds Mark Siemens who served the City of Rocklin as Police Chief for nearly a decade. Rocklin was fortunate to have multiple candidates who are well qualified inclusive of Captain Daniel L. Ruden.
