Sacramento, Calif.- September 27, 2009 shortly after 5:00 pm Fire Companies responded to a report of a drowning at Lake Natomas. Friends were jumping of the popular China Wall cliff at Lake Natomas when the one boy failed to surface after he jumped. Metro Fire searched by land, water and air and was unsuccessful at locating the 16 year old male. The Associated Press has identified the teenager as Cody Isaacson of Rocklin, California.

Nearly two hours after the search started the DART team located the boy under the water and unresponsive. Paramedics evaluated the boy and pronounced him dead on the scene.

Jumping off China Wall is prohibited, but has become a popular spot for teens.
