Rocklin, Calif.- On March 12th Rocklin Police Detectives arrested four suspects who were involved in what had been originally reported as a hit-and-run accident, vehicle vs. pedestrian, with injuries on February 23rd, 2008, at about 12:45 AM in the 4000 block of Aitken Diary Rd.

Officers responded to the residential area of Aitken Diary Rd. on that Saturday morning to find a male subject, 23 years, Rocklin, who had injuries to his right leg including a broken ankle. A friend, who was accompanying him when he was struck while on the sidewalk, had implored sleepy residents to call the police for help. Help arrived and the subject was transported and treated at Sutter Roseville Medical Center.

The original investigating officers concluded that a vehicle had driven onto the sidewalk and had struck the subject. At the time, no witnesses were found who could identify the driver or passengers in the car.

Days later a tip from a neighbor in the area jumpstarted the investigation. Over a subsequent two-week period detectives interviewed over 20 people and developed a case which led to four arrest warrants being issued and served. The arrested subjects, who were transported to Placer County Jail, are:

David Scott Simmer, 18 years, Roseville, for two counts of vehicle assault with a deadly weapon, hit and run resulting in injuries, and driving with a suspended license. He is being held on $250,000 bail.

Megan Marie Simmer, 21 years, Roseville, for accessory after the fact. She is being held on $35,000 bail.

Adam James Mays, 19 years, Rocklin, for accessory after the fact. He is being held on $35,000 bail.

Michelle Joleigh Donom, 20 years, Roseville, for accessory after the fact. She is being held on $25,000 bail.
