Rocklin police arrest burglary suspect

On 11-21-11, with the assistance of the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department, Rocklin Police Detectives arrested Tomas Gabriel Rios, 23, of Sacramento after a vehicle stop in Sacramento County.

Rocklin Police Detectives had recently contacted Rios and found him to be in possession of several items of suspected stolen property.  An ongoing investigation led to the identification of several pieces of stolen property, including a police Taser and items from two residential burglaries in Sacramento County and Placer County.  Several dozen pieces of jewelry suspected of being stolen were also found in Rios’ possession.

Rockin PD Detectives are investigating if Rios is connected with other recent burglaries in the area.  Anyone with information relating to these crimes is encouraged to contact the Rocklin Police Department.  Anyone who has been a recent victim of a residential burglary where identifiable items of jewelry were stolen is also encouraged to contact Sgt. Tomas Rios was booked into the Sacramento County Jail for the above charges and a warrant on unrelated charges.  Rios is being held on $60,500 bail at the Sacramento County Jail.
