Rocklin, Calif.- On Wednesday November 18, 2015 at approximately 0038 hours, deputies with the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic enforcement stop on a Jeep Wrangler pulling a U-Haul trailer on Eureka Way at California St. for vehicle code violations.
A subsequent search of the U-Haul trailer was conducted after a positive alert from Shasta County Sheriff’s Office K-9 “Chase”. The search resulted in the seizure of 263 pounds of processed marijuana in packaged in one pound baggies. Bulk U.S. Currency was also located during the search of the vehicle.
The driver, Tyson Scharf, age 27, from Rocklin, CA and the passenger identified as David Mireles, age 31, from San Francisco, CA were arrested for 11359 H&S- possession of marijuana for sale and for 11360 H&S- transportation of marijuana.
Both subjects were booked into the Shasta County Jail on the listed charges without incident.
