ROCKLIN-Thousands of car enthusiasts and chili lovers are expected to attend this year’s “Hot Chili & Cool Cars” event taking over Pacific Street on September 15th in Rocklin.

Distinct homemade chili is what really spices up the annual event, as each recipe brings its own unique taste for the crowds to enjoy.

“Our chili cook-off is a crowd pleaser,” said Robin Trimble, CEO of Rocklin Area Chamber of Commerce. “The chili contest is a very fun competition that allows any local cook – amateur or professional – to showcase their special chili recipes.”

Chili booths are still available for those interested in participating. Anyone who has a taste for chili and a craving for a fun competition are encouraged to enter into this year’s chili cook-off.

If you think your recipe has what it takes, join us at this year’s Hot Chili & Cool Cars on September 15 between 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Pacific Street in Rocklin.  A classic car show, food, crafts, games, local business booths, and live entertainment by Dave Russell will be part of the day’s festivities.

Presented by RC Willey, Five Star Auto Care, and Western Placer Waste Management Authority, and sponsored by the City of Rocklin and PG&E, “Hot Chili & Cool Cars” is held along Pacific Street between Midas Avenue and Rocklin Road.

The event is one of the major fundraisers for the Chamber and, as it has for many years, will donate a portion of the proceeds from the sale of chili kits to the Matthew Redding Scholarship Foundation, established in the memory of slain Rocklin Police Officer Matthew Redding.
