On February 6th, 2014 approximately 3:00PM, Rocklin officers took a report of an assault with a deadly weapon and exhibiting a firearm.
The victim was hit in the arm several times with a collapsible baton and a gun was pointed at him in a threatening manner. The victim identified Sean Gray as the suspect. Gray fled the scene prior to the officer’s arrival. Rocklin PD Detectives sought and were granted a Ramey Warrant for the arrest of Gray.
On February 10th, 2014, Placer County Special Investigations Unit Detectives received information that Sean Gray was staying in a motel room at the Rocklin Days Inn. Detectives began conducting surveillance and just prior to noon, suspect Gray and an associate, Eric Hudsonbroyer, were observed exiting a hotel room and transferring property into a vehicle.
Gray and Hudsonbroyer were arrested and taken into custody. Eric Hudsonbroyer was found in possession of a loaded firearm on his person.
During a search of the hotel room, evidence was found from the initial incident on February 6th. Sean Gray was booked for an outstanding arrest warrant for violations of Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Brandishing a Firearm in a Threatening Manner.ย Hudsonbroyer was booked for possession of a loaded firearm.
