At approximately 4:26 this morning (2/13/2012), Rocklin Police Officers responded to an address on El Verde Court on a report of an interrupted burglary.

The resident had heard a noise in his garage and went out to investigate. Once in his garage, he was confronted by a male who stabbed him in his arm with an unknown type of sharp instrument and struck him on the head. The suspect then fled out the garage and was chased briefly by the victim. The victim lost sight of the suspect on El Don Drive and returned to his house to call 911.

The victim suffered an abrasion on his head and a laceration on his arm.

Rocklin PD detectives are investigating. The suspect was described as a white male adult of average build. He was approximately 5’11” and had short hair of unknown color. He was wearing all dark clothing.
