Rocklin, Calif.- Update – at 11:45 AM, Rocklin officers spotted a person matching the description of the suspect in the 200 block of Granite Park Ct., Lincoln. After additional units arrived the subject was arrested by the Lincoln Police Department for burglary. Arrested was Marcus Daniels, 27 years of age, from Orangevale.

On Friday morning, February 6th, at 8:12am, Lincoln Police received a call of a residential burglary in the 200 block of Granite Park Court. The reporting party stated they had seen a male suspect fleeing the residence on foot. This area of Lincoln is near Lincoln’s Twelve Bridges Elementary School and is also near the northern City limit border of Rocklin, in proximity to Whitney High School.

Lincoln and Rocklin police units converged on the area to establish a perimeter in an attempt to locate the suspect. As a precaution, due to the close proximity of both schools, Lincoln Police requested Twelve Bridges Elementary be placed in lock-down, and Rocklin Police requested Whitney HS be placed in lock down. Both school districts and staff were extremely cooperative in this effort to keep children safe from any potential harm.

A California Highway Patrol helicopter responded to assist in the area search for the burglary suspect. After several hours of searching, the suspect could not be located. Both school lock downs were lifted at around 11am. It is not believed children were in any immediate danger, and the lock-downs were taken as a safety precaution given the situation.

Witnesses described the suspect as white male adult, approximately 25-30 years of age, with a goatee and spiked hair. the suspect was last seen wearing a grey sleeveless flannel vest and blue jeans.
