At 2:47 on (February 28, 2007), units from the Roseville Fire Department were dispatched to a reported residential structure fire on Europa Street in the city of Roseville.
While enroute, smoke was spotted in the area and an additional fire engine was requested. The first arriving engine arrived on scene to find a two-story, single family dwelling with heavy smoke and fire showing on the first floor. A second alarm response was requested by on scene commanders.
Upon entry into the home, firefighters found heavy fire on the first floor with the fire extending into the second floor. Aggressive fire fighting efforts quickly contained the fire and kept the fire from further spread in the home as well as to other adjacent homes.
A total of 5 fire engines, 1 ladder truck, and a stand-by ambulance, for a total of 23 personnel arrived on scene. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
