Roseville, Calif. – The California Republican Assembly, California’s oldest and largest volunteer organization, has endorsed Ted Gaines in the First Senate District Special Election. The local chapters of the CRA, meeting Sunday, voted to endorse Gaines over his two Republican opponents, Roger Niello and Barbara Alby.

“This is one of the most important races in the state for conservative Republicans who oppose higher taxes and bigger government,” said CRA Vice President George Park Jr. “Ted Gaines is a family man, business owner and conservative who embodies the principles of the California Republican Assembly.” Gaines is already running an aggressive grassroots campaign in the Fist Senate District and the CRA endorsement will add to those efforts.

“It is a huge boost for our campaign to be endorsed by the CRA, which represents the grassroots heart and soul of the Republican party,” said Gaines. “With CRA volunteers working on our behalf, we are now well equipped to cover the 12 counties of the First District with our message of lower taxes, less spending and limited government.”
