“The latest figures are a great sign of the strength of our suburban hotel market in south Placer County,” said Placer Valley Tourism CEO David Attaway. “We believe the market will only continue to grow as the demand for rooms steadily increases.”

The revenue per available room rate (RevPAR) is also at an all-time high of $70.92, and stands 8% higher than any other suburban market in the Sacramento region.

“When we went into the recession in 2008 and then added additional hotels to our area, it felt like we were never going to recover. During that time we were happy to get any business we could at any rate,” said Heather Hilton, Senior Director of Sales for Larkspur Landing and PVT Board of Directors Treasurer.

Placer Valley Tourism serves to secure hotel room night stays throughout Roseville, Rocklin and Lincoln by focusing on amateur and youth sporting events. Current trends are expected to continue with the completion of the Placer Valley Sports Complex in 2018 as an additional 25,000 hotel room stays are expected to be generated.
