Raley’s Family of Fine Stores announces the rollout of a new cleaning and sanitation program, saving approximately 4 million gallons of water, lowering energy consumption by 7.5 million kWh’s of energy, saving 100 tons in shipping, and reducing labor by over 23,000 hours a year.

Implementation began at the end of 2014 and will be complete and in all stores by the end of April, 2015.ย

The Northern California based supermarket chain is the first retailer in North America to implement the entire Ecolab program which focuses on simplifying food safety processes to ensue proper cleaning and delivering operational savings through the use of less labor, water, energy and waste.
