The Arts Council of Placer County, doing business as PlacerArts, will be moving to a new location in Auburn effective December 1, 2016. As part of PlacerArts “Moving Forward” effort, the non-profit arts group is relocating to 910 Lincoln Way, Auburn. The new location will provide enhanced street visibility, display, gallery space and a classroom.
Larry Carducci, principal owner of the facility said, “We are so pleased to have the Arts Council of Placer County leasing our building. PlacerArts will bring liveliness and excitement to the Town Square area of downtown Auburn “.
Keith Vogt, Vice Chair of the Board of Directors, added, “This is the kind of relationship between the owners and our organization that results in a positive and constructive environment where the arts can flourish in our region.” Vogt also said the staff and board are envisioning expanding the kinds of art classes, events, and activities that the new space will offer PlacerArts. There are future plans to include a signature gallery space to feature local and regional artists with a variety of media. “All of us, board, staff and volunteers are excited about the opportunities to provide residents and visitors a premier location that features not only well known artists, but also those who are developing their talents. This new Auburn space will complement our recent expansion to Rocklin, thus extending our mission to provide art and culture to other communities. We are continuing to explore avenues to represent all of Placer County,” Vogt continued.
