Roseville, Calif. – The Placer SPCA announced the election of its 2015 Officers and the installation of two new board members.

Mike Shellito, former City Manager and Parks & Recreation Director for the City of Roseville, and Owner & Principal Consultant at Shellito Training & Consulting, will serve as Board President in 2015.

Shellito has served as a board member for the Placer SPCA since 2013. His passion for the Placer SPCA mission combined with his deep-ties in the Roseville  community make him invaluable to the organization.

Other officers include President Elect Karen Hauber-Grahl, Speech-Language-Learning Private Practice; Past President Al Johnson, Retired City of Roseville Manager and Owner & Consultant at Al Johnson Consulting, LLC; Treasurer Sheila Cardno, Wealth Advisor with Spectrum Wealth Management; Secretary Mark Davis, President of Sierra View Construction; and Appointee Director at Large Jim Gray, former Mayor for the City of Roseville.

New appointees to the Placer SPCA Board of Directors are community members Dottie Dille, and Paul Klein, Regional Vice President of Kimley-Horn and Associates.

Each member of the Placer SPCA board has the opportunity to serve two three-year terms.

“The Placer SPCA has a 16-member board comprised of some of the most well-respected and professional individuals throughout Placer County,” said Placer SPCA CEO, Leilani Fratis. “The Board of Directors is responsible for guiding the mission and vision of the organization and other fiduciary responsibilities. They serve a very important role to the organization,” said Fratis.

The organization operates the Companion Animal Care Center located at 150 Corporation Yard Road in Roseville, the Pet Adoption & Resource Center located at 1482 Grass Valley Highway in Auburn, and a satellite Cat Adoption Center in Pet Food Express at Fountains in Roseville. Additionally, the Placer SPCA operates a Thrift Store located at 931 Washington Boulevard in Roseville with proceeds benefiting their programs and services.
