A Roseville bank was robbed on Tuesday, September 4th in what is believed to be the fourth robbery committed in the region by a criminal nicknamed the “X-Games Bandit.”

Placer Sierra Bank at 1259 Pleasant Grove Blvd. was robbed at approximately 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 4. The robber was described as a white male in his 20s, 5’9″ tall, wearing a blue and white ballcap, white t-shirt and blue jeans. The suspect demanded money and mentioned a gun, but no weapon was seen. He took an undisclosed amount of cash, left the area on a bicycle.  No one reported being injured during the robbery.

The suspect is believed to be a serial bank robber that the the Sacramento Violent Crimes Task Force, comprised of  FBI agents and Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department detectives, have nicknamed the “X-Games bandit.” The X-Games bandit is suspected of committing at least three recent bank robberies in Woodland and Sacramento. He was seen leaving the scene of each robbery with either a skateboard or a BMX bicycle.

The robbery is being investigated by the Roseville Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
