Placer County Sheriff’s detectives arrested a suspected serial pharmacy robber this week, after he robbed a Kings Beach pharmacy for the third time. Information provided by citizens led to his arrest.
On Tuesday, August 11, at 12:24 p.m., sheriff’s dispatchers received a 911 call, stating that a robbery had just occurred at the Rite Aid on North Lake Blvd. in Kings Beach. The man had entered the store and demanded narcotics while displaying a firearm. When he fled the store, citizens provided a vehicle description.
A detective was in the area and saw the car. A pursuit ensued, but quickly ended when the suspect drove down a dead-end street. Peter Joseph Terry, 48, of Reno, Nevada was arrested and booked at the Placer County Jail in Auburn. His bail is set at $1 million.
Terry is suspected of armed robbery at numerous pharmacies, from Reno to the San Francisco Bay Area over the past few months.
