Placer County, Calif.- Denise Lipscomb has been promoted to Emergency Safe House Manager at PEACE for Families.
PEACE for Families is a private non-profit agency providing comprehensive services to domestic violence and sexual assault victims in Placer County. Ms. Lipscomb has over 20 years of experience providing services to domestic violence and sexual assault survivors including direct services, school outreach, and program development. She joined PEACE’s staff in May, 2010, as the Transitional Housing Program Coordinator and was named Interim Safe House Manager in December 2010. Ms. Lipscomb supervises the Crisis Line and Safe House Programming for the survivors and children that seek refuge in the Safe House.
PEACE for Families is dedicated to ending the legacy of abuse by providing survivors of domestic and sexual violence with services and resources and fostering communities where abuse is not tolerated. PEACE provides a 24-hour crisis line (800-575-5352), emergency domestic violence shelter, and service offices in Roseville and Auburn where victims of domestic violence and sexual assault and their families/significant others may receive therapy, legal advocacy, assistance and resources at no charge.
