Placer County, CA, – PEACE for Families has been standing up for Placer County residents for nearly 35 years; committed to ending domestic violence, sexual abuse and repairing lives. A strong presence in the community is critical, yet the organization lacked the name recognition this life saving work so deserves. A new empowering name was needed to more accurately convey the mission and strong, action-oriented work happening with survivors right here in Placer County.

As 2012 comes to a close and heads towards 2013, the organization remains committed to women, men, families and the community. They are doing the same critical work with a new name that represents the mission, the place and the life saving work being done. Stand Up Placer – Empowering Survivors. Saving Lives.

About Stand Up Placer

Stand Up Placer is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering survivors of domestic and sexual violence to heal from trauma, and to create new lives of strength and self-sufficiency. We do this through a survivor-driven, thoughtfully constructed network of services: a 24-hour crisis line, an emergency safe house, therapy and legal advocacy. We take pride in our community and engage and inspire Placer County residents to end the legacy of abuse.
