On February 4, 2009, detectives assigned to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department’s Sexual Assault unit arrested two teachers from Futures High School in North Highlands for multiple felony and misdemeanor charges. An initial report was generated by the Twin Rivers Unified School District Police Department and investigated by the Sacramento Sheriff’s Department.

Teacher Eric Charles Gladden (34) was arrested for 34 counts of distribution of lewd material to a minor,  contributing to the delinquency of minors, child annoyance and falsifying documents to be used in evidence involving female students, ages 16 and 17, between March 2008 and January 2009.  An investigation revealed evidence of inappropriate conduct with students; both in person and through cellular phones.  In addition, Gladden supplied students with alcohol at his residence on more than one occasion.
