Missing Truckee Man’s Body Discovered

The body of Eusebio Nunez, 49, of Truckee was discovered following a search effort by Placer and Nevada counties. 

Nunez, a local business owner  was last seen leaving his home on Friday, July 25, at around 8:30 a.m.

The Placer County Sheriff’s Office helicopter, Falcon 30, located Nunez’s vehicle on Sunday, August 10, at 11:35 a.m., in the Boca/Verdi Peak area of Nevada County.  A coordinated effort between Placer and Nevada counties resulted in Nunez being located on Monday in an area approximately 100 yards from his vehicle.

He was deceased and his family was notified.  The cause of death is currently under investigation by the Nevada County Sheriff’s Office.
